Our Team
Dario Mofardin - Founder, Mars Capital Partners
Dario Mofardin is the founder of Mars Capital Partners and the author of The Mars Market Update. His work is shaped by a long-standing curiosity about how global macro forces, investor psychology, and market structure evolves across cycles.
He began his career in the early 1990s as an analyst and trader at Portland House Corporation, the Hains Family Office in Melbourne. It was here that he developed the foundations of a broad, macro-informed perspective, combining analytical discipline with real-world market application.
After completing his MBA at Melbourne Business School, Dario moved into global investment banking. Over more than 15 years, he served as a senior M&A banker at leading investment banks including Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, and Lehman Brothers, working across Melbourne, Sydney, Singapore, and New York.
During this time, he advised astute global clients such as Gillette, Schlumberger, and KKR, building a strong track record in complex transaction execution, strategic leadership, and the creation of real business value for his clients. This experience deepened his understanding of global capital markets, risk, and value creation across industries and market environments.
Dario later returned to investing and trading, bringing with him a refined edge: the ability to integrate deep market knowledge, financial insight, and global perspective into a disciplined, structured approach to market analysis.
He began writing the Market Update in 2013 as a personal discipline to stay aligned with global asset markets. Over time, it evolved into a trusted technical resource used by professional traders and decision-makers worldwide.

Kim holds undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in economics, marketing, and commerce. With more than 30 years of business and analytical experience, she brings a business and macroeconomic lens to MCP’s research.
